CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF WALKING

The AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is back again, and this year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary. Thanks to thousands of walkers, supporters and corporate sponsors, last year's AIDS Walk for Life Toronto raised an impressive $450,000+ to benefit the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT). Already 2008 is shaping up to be a BIGGER and BETTER walk, so get ready to tighten your laces, put on your fundraising hat, bring all your friends together and get ready to hit the streets of Toronto:

WHY WE STILL WALK

AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is an annual fundraising walk spearheaded by the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT).
Each year thousands of caring men, women, children - and even a few pets – come together to collect funds, raise awareness, show support and continue to fight against this deadly illness.

Since the first event took place in 1989, the Toronto Walk has raised over $8.5 million dollars through the participation of more than 100,000 walkers, hundreds of corporate and community teams and many caring corporate supporters.

We don't walk alone - AIDS Walk for Life Across Canada

AIDS Walk for Life Toronto is part of a national walk week, which kicks off in Toronto. Tens of thousands of Canadians from coast to coast will be collecting pledges and Walk for Life! Join us as we march through Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver and many points in between.

Back by popular demand for another live performance is the fabulous Boogie Wonder Band! (So make sure your running shoes can double as grooving shoes!) Not to be outdone, we're also bringing back Toronto's funkiest Community Fair. We're carrying out the retro theme all day, so get your best costume, biggest hair, brightest makeup, and highest platforms ready to dance the day away!
